The Power of Roland V-Drums

I would like to talk about how awesome the Roland TD-11 Electronic V-Drums are. I personally own one, and I love everything about it. Its interface is easy to use and set up, and it has over twenty presets, including both natural and supernatural sounds (classic 808 and 909, jungle, rock, metal, reggae, latin, and jazz). I like to customize my own drum set by picking and choosing sounds, and adjusting the sensitivity and tuning. My favorite part of the drums is that they trigger when I hit a specific part of a pad, so I can do different hits like edge, bell, bow, and rim-shots. The problem with that though is that you have to be just as precise if not more than an acoustic set. I used the CD that comes with it to learn how to play some basic rhythms, but the songs are limited. I’d like to see this expanded. When I record myself playing into Logic, I create an audio track and just set up the sound input to the TD-11 interface. The TD-11 does require driver updates via a USB flash drive, but it’s easy to set up. When I play I love that I don’t have to worry about the neighbors or my girlfriend complaining. I recently moved into a new apartment so I had to transport the drums. It was very convenient that I could fold them up easily and they were also light in weight. I know some acoustic drum sets out there that are really heavy, especially with the kick drum.
